Use Beav from an Agent

Install the Beav Creator plugin in Codex Desktop or WorkBuddy and collaborate with Beav's internal Agent over local MCP.

The Beav Creator Plugin connects Codex Desktop or WorkBuddy to Beav on the same computer. The host Agent understands your cross-app goal and starts the delegation; Beav's internal Agent handles source retrieval, creation work, media processing, approvals, and artifact verification.

One line to install

Send this to Codex Desktop:

/goal Read https://beav.pro/agent to install the Beav Creator plugin and set up a new task for me.

Codex reads the machine guide, checks whether Beav is installed, and locates the Codex CLI bundled with the Codex desktop app. If Beav is missing, it asks you to install the desktop app first; if sandbox restrictions block preparation, it gives you Terminal recovery commands. Codex then installs and reads back the plugin before creating a new task to verify the MCP connection.

Or send this to WorkBuddy:

Read https://beav.pro/workbuddy to install the Beav Creator plugin and connect it to my local Beav workspace.

WorkBuddy locates its bundled CodeBuddy CLI and gives you the Beav startup and preparation commands. Run them in order in a normal Terminal outside WorkBuddy, then send back only the marketplace path returned by preparation. WorkBuddy then validates and installs the plugin, reloads it, and verifies the MCP with creator_status and workspace_list.

Claude and ChatGPT desktop

Claude Desktop, Cowork, and Claude Code connect with packages that Beav prepares; see Connect Claude. The Codex mode in the ChatGPT desktop app shares plugins and configuration with Codex Desktop, so install it the Codex way above (not yet tested in the ChatGPT desktop app).

Two channels

  • The Agent control channel: Codex or WorkBuddy talks to Beav's internal Agent through the Beav Creator MCP.
  • The user workspace channel: you sign in, review, approve, and edit through the localhost browser UI.

The host Agent does not click web pages, read the DOM, or decide a task is done from a screenshot. Completion is based on what Beav returns: a typed task terminal state, artifact references, and read-back evidence.
