The Beav home page keeps the daily rhythm of running your account in one place: **Today's Plan**, review cards, the **Daily brief**, the **Topic pool**, **Continue creating**, and **Recent output**.

*Home: mini apps and review cards at the top, then today’s plan and the daily brief in the Daily brief tab of Start with a topic.*

## When the brief is generated

By default, the brief starts generating at 09:00 local time every day, and its content appears only when it is finished. No brief is generated while Beav is closed. If there is no brief for today yet, the home page shows when it will be generated; while it is generating, after a failure, or when briefs are turned off, the home page shows the matching status. Turn briefs on or off in **Settings › General**.

Read the latest brief for the current space on the **Daily brief** tab under **Start with a topic** on the home page. Click the date at the top to open a month calendar: dates with a brief can be selected and dates without one are grayed out. When a day has several briefs, you can choose a specific edition; **Today** returns to today's latest edition.

## What the brief contains

The new brief has three parts: **Today's Plan**, **Today's findings**, and **Yesterday's review**:

* **Today's findings**: organized into **News worth watching**, **Trends worth following**, and **Hits worth learning from**. Each item has a title, a short explanation, and a source link. When a section lacks evidence, the brief says so instead of padding it with items. Each item has **Add to Topics** (the plus icon) and **Create** on its right.
* **Yesterday's review**: reads the like history saved for your own account, shows the net growth of comparable notes in a table, and summarizes lessons you can reuse. When history is insufficient or covers only some notes, the brief says so.
* **Sources**: click a source link with an arrow to preview the original, open the web page, add it as a topic, or start creating directly.

Use the input box at the bottom of the brief to discuss this edition or give preference feedback. Your feedback shapes future briefs.

*A daily brief: confirm plan items one by one, add discoveries to topics or start creating, and read yesterday’s review at the end.*

## Today's plan

**Today's Plan** combines your account plan, preferences, topics, existing drafts, recent chats, and your feedback to suggest tasks you can do today. Each task states why to do it today, how it will be done, and what will be delivered, such as a Xiaohongshu (RedNote) image post, a voiceover script, or a video.

* Click the play icon to **Confirm and run**, or use **Confirm and run all** at the bottom of the list. Confirming creates a task chat and starts running it. The chat appears in the sidebar with a light green circled check mark before its title.
* **Adjust** in the **…** menu on the right opens a separate chat to change that suggestion. After adjusting, you still need to confirm it.
* The trash icon on the far right is **Discard task**; you can add a reason. Discarding keeps the chat and its outputs.
* When you consider a task done, click the checkbox on the left to **Mark complete**. The item fades out and collapses; expand completed items from **N completed**.

Completing and discarding only tidy your to-do list. They do not send messages, submit reviews for you, or stop a running chat.

## Review outputs on the home page

Content reviews raised by tasks from today's plan appear above **Start with a topic** on the home page, one card at a time:

* Click an output card to view the full draft, images, package, or video in a dialog.
* For a first-draft review, click **Approve and continue** and the AI carries on with the rest of the production.
* For a complete delivery, click **Accept delivery** and the card leaves the queue. **Discard item** ends only this review and keeps the files.
* To request changes, click **Request changes**, write your comments in the box that appears, then click **Submit revision notes**.
* When several cards are waiting, **Later** next to the heading moves to the next card and keeps the current one pending. Unhandled items carry over to the next day.

You can also handle the same review in the original task chat; the status stays in sync in both places. Once a file has been modified, the old version cannot be accepted; submit a new review in the original chat. Accepting and discarding do not publish content automatically. Ordinary chats and manual creation do not enter this review area.

## Topic pool, Continue creating, and Recent output

* **Topic pool**: jot down an idea at the top and press Enter to save it, or paste several at once. Each item has **Continue discussion**, **Start creating / Continue creating**, and **Discard** on its right. Topics added with **Add to Topics** in the brief appear here.
* **Continue creating**: click a row to return to its original chat.
* **Recent output**: shows only complete packages in the current space that have been packaged and are ready to publish. It defaults to **Unpublished** and can be switched to **All**. Click a package to open its preview.

![The All topics dialog: search topics, switch to Used or Discarded, and each topic has Continue discussion and Start creating buttons](https://beav.pro/screenshots/topic-management-list-2026-09-25.png)

*View all in the topic pool opens every topic. By default it only shows topics still in the pool.*

## Focus and sources

The brief's **Focus** is a single configuration with three parts: **Explicit requests**, **Auto-followed subjects**, and **Sources**. You can write broad topics, exclusions, and how material will be used, and you can record websites, accounts, or links as sources and mark them as preferred or disabled. When the first brief is generated and Focus is still empty, AI drafts an initial list from your account operations plan.

In an ordinary chat or in brief feedback, say things like "cover X more in future briefs", "stop recommending Y", or "prefer this website". AI merges the request into this configuration and tells you which item it updated. Maintaining preferences alone does not generate a full brief.

Trend leads come from NewsBing: with a personal key authorized, Beav reads its trend snapshot; without authorization, it uses public trends that need no key. AI reads each candidate's original source and recommends only topics with supporting evidence. For authorization, see [Explore trends and start a discussion](https://beav.pro/en/docs/workflows/hotspots).

## Recurring tasks

Account profile refresh, subscription refresh, and memory organization share the same local scheduler as the brief. They run while Beav is running, do not run while it is fully quit, and check for anything overdue after the next launch. System maintenance tasks do not appear in the calendar or the task list and do not send notifications. View the calendar under **Schedule** in the sidebar.
