# Upload note links from your phone

> Pair your phone, send multiple share links to the computer's current space, and track automatic capture in the knowledge base.

Requires Beav desktop 2.8.12 or later. Desktop source review is complete; iPhone and Android pairing and submission still need device verification. If the button is missing, update the desktop app.

Copy a note link from Xiaohongshu or another mobile app, then paste it into the collection page in your phone's browser. You do not need a native share menu or a mobile app. Keep Beav running on an awake computer with a writable local space open. Official capture requires sign-in; independent TikHub capture requires a valid configured API key.

The Knowledge Base phone page explicitly accepts **content URLs**. Supported platforms are **Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Bilibili, YouTube, X (Twitter), Weibo, Zhihu, WeChat Official Accounts, and recognizable WeChat Channels content links**. Use individual notes, articles, or videos, not account profiles. Platform scope was checked against source dated October 6, 2026; device verification is pending.

## Scan and pair

1. Open **Knowledge Base** on the computer and click **Phone Upload** to display a QR code.
2. Check the computer name and current space. The computer name includes the operating-system username to help identify the receiving device.
3. **Connect your phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi.** The computer can also use a wired connection to the same local network.
4. Scan the QR code with your phone camera and open the page in the system browser.
5. On the first connection, compare the verification codes on both devices, then click **Allow Pairing** on the computer.

The QR code expires after five minutes; reopen the entry to obtain a new one. Pairing lasts 90 days by default. Bookmark the collection page and use the same browser for later submissions. Clearing browser data, changing browsers, or a change to the computer's local address may require pairing again.

## Submit several links at once

1. Copy the share link for an individual note or video. In Xiaohongshu, use **Copy Link** in its share menu.
2. Return to the collection page and check the computer and **current space** at the top.
3. Long-press the input and choose your system's **Paste** action. **Each paste adds a new line**, preserving earlier content. Share text containing the link is also accepted. Each batch supports up to 50 links.
4. Click **Submit**. Once the computer confirms receipt, accepted content is cleared from the input so you can paste the next batch.

Beav desktop 2.8.14 simplifies this page: the heading is “保存到知识库” (Save to Knowledge Base), and platform details are collapsed under “支持哪些链接？” (Supported links). There is no separate Paste button; use the system's long-press paste menu. Restart the updated desktop host and refresh the phone page to load the change. System paste also appends a new line, combining internal line breaks in share text into spaces. You cannot paste while submitting or while receipt is unconfirmed; layouts and system paste menus vary by phone.

Profile pages and unsupported URLs remain in the input for correction. If all links are rejected, the original input stays. Use links to individual pieces of content. The Knowledge Base page accepts links only. Starting with Beav desktop **2.8.13**, images, videos, and audio can be uploaded through **Phone Upload** in writable local Asset Library spaces; see [phone media uploads](https://beav.pro/en/docs/workflows/asset-sharing#upload-media-from-your-phone). Neither entry supports remote submission over cellular networks.

## Decompose after saving

Beav desktop 2.8.14 adds **Decompose after saving** (保存后拆解) to URL submission. It applies only to newly accepted links in that batch and resets after a successful receipt. Duplicate URLs and asset-library media uploads are unaffected. Decomposition uses models and consumes usage. See [outputs, limits, and troubleshooting](https://beav.pro/en/docs/workflows/collect-to-create#decompose-videos-and-notes). Reviewed on 2026-10-08; verify phone behavior on the target device.

## Check capture results on the computer

Five distinct valid links first create five placeholder cards at the root of **Mine** in the knowledge base, marked **Phone Upload** and **Downloading**. Beav resolves share links, identifies the platform, and uses the existing capture API to save the content. Successful results replace the placeholders in place. Duplicate links or different links to the same content may be merged.

Receipt confirms that the computer saved the capture tasks; images, videos, or transcripts may still be processing. Available content depends on the platform, capture service, account access, and quota. YouTube saves the information returned by the API, without guaranteeing a full video or subtitles. Failed cards keep the original link and offer **Retry** or removal of the failed record. Retrying external capture may consume additional quota.

## When the computer switches spaces

The phone shows the space currently open on the computer; it does not offer a space picker. Switching spaces keeps your pasted input and requires confirmation of the new destination before submission. Accepted tasks remain in their original space even if you switch later. Only writable local spaces are supported; shared and remote spaces are not supported.

## Connection loss or an uncertain receipt

If receipt is unconfirmed, keep the original input and use **Check Result** first. A temporary storage error also keeps the original submission; it does not prove that the computer received nothing. If the computer still has no receipt, use **Retry Original Submission** with the same submission ID. Do not open another page and submit the links again. A receipt with a mismatched destination revision does not clear your input. If a desktop card reports an interrupted capture, check for an existing result before retrying.

If the page cannot open, confirm that Beav is running and the computer is awake. Guest Wi-Fi, wireless client isolation, VPNs, or a firewall may block the connection. Allow Windows firewall access only on a trusted private network. After changing networks, scan again from **Phone Upload**.

## Manage pairing and stop receiving

Use **Paired Devices** in the desktop dialog to revoke a browser's access. **Turn Off Phone Upload** stops new submissions and keeps accepted tasks. Closing only the QR dialog leaves receiving enabled.

Unpaired browsers cannot upload, and an ordinary collection-page address does not reveal the computer username or space. Use a trusted local network. Pairing controls submission access; it does not provide transport confidentiality on public networks.
